‘Diplomatie, Succès et Accomplissement’ (lit. meaning - diplomacy, success and accomplishment) being the three pillars of Goldcrest International MUN, II 2019 this inter-diplomatic Model UN conference organized solely by its students. We would like to inform you that the second edition GIMUN is resonating with United Nations Year of Global Moderation. As a result, we have all our committees dedicated to making this world a better place to thrive through the sole means of moderation. The event is scheduled on 10th & 11th August this year.
GIMUN is aimed at increasing global awareness amongst students. Besides academics, it is universally accepted that co-curricular activities play an essential role in nurturing a child’s personality. Therefore we are encouraging MUNs as an emerging form of social engagement co-academic activity.
What is an MUN?
About MUNs
A MUN is an inter-diplomatic conference specially arranged for students. The entire event is divided in several committees where each will have one pressing issue (agenda) to discuss. Each student will be given a country in a committee. The student is expected to research about the basic foreign policies of his country. Besides, having brief knowledge about the agenda is important as it will help the participant to be more active during the conference. Every discussion is penned down in form of a formal resolution as done in the actual United Nations. The resolution consists of the primary solutions towards the agenda. These solutions usually proposed by students thus, giving their ideas an appropriate platform to be discussed.
